SIXTH HOUSE NEPTUNE

The House of Possessions - The field of prosperity

Employment and employees. Duties, practical responsibilities, and mundane tasks. Daily work. Servants and dependents. Pets and small animals. Diet. Sickness and health. Hygiene and sanitation.

Neptune in the sixth house gives difficulty in concentrating on mundane jobs and in attending to detail. There may be enforced idleness, problems in getting organized, unrealistic expectations, or an aversion to work. On the positive side, sacrifices may be made for an exalted ideal.

This position is not conducive to routine labor but favors success in television, film-making, modeling, advertising, and vocations which feature the casting of glamorous illusions.

The mind is more inspirational than practical. An abnormal sensitivity to drugs and liquor indicates the need for caution in taking medicine. Illnesses are often of unknown origin and difficult to diagnose.

There can be allergies to particular foods when Neptune is placed here. The imagination works overtime all too often with this placing, and hypochondria is very common. To be fair, however, the subject may not react very well even to medically administered drugs, and may make much better progress relying on homeopathy or, when possible, a cure that positively stimulates the psyche.

This individual is encouraged to be their own healer, and to take a positive attitude toward any ailments - the benefits they may reap could be considerable.

Where work is concerned, it may well be difficult for someone with this placing to discipline themselves into a steady routine. They will get through the necessary day-to-day tasks in their own way, but this personal approach might cause problems with colleagues.

Keeping deadlines may also be considered a bore, with the result that they may sometimes be missed.
